At Hawk Ellery, people are the heart of our business. We take care of our staff, train them well, and take every step to nature their talents and help them to grow. It means we have a team of people who love working for us – and stay for the long term. As a result, our people are experienced, knowledgeable, and willing to go the extra mile for customers.
It’s about communication, consistency, and building great relationships with our customers.
My career in freight forwarding got underway in 1992 when I started with Burnard International before going on to join the family business, Ellery Freight, three years later.
Now with more than 20 years in the industry, I make a point of continuous learning because only by understanding how the industry is changing and evolving can we deliver the quality service the company strives towards.
I hold an Auckland University of Technology Diploma in Business, and also a New Zealand Customs Agents License and a New Zealand Maritime School Certificate in Supply Chain Management.
I am currently a Director of Hawk Ellery Freight Services and a director of International Cargo Express New Zealand.
I began my career as a customs broker trainee in 1982, before heading overseas in 1985 to explore the world with a backpack.
Returning in 1988 I gained my customs brokers license in 1995 and became a director of Hawk Customs and Freight NZ Ltd in 1996.
Logistics is a dynamic career with every day throwing up new challenges.
Like most businesses, I am always learning and looking for ways to improve our performance and add value for our customers.
I am currently a director of Hawk Ellery Freight Services Ltd, and a director of International Cargo Express New Zealand.
